Community Impact

Rosedale Health and Wellness and Dudley’s Place are both strongly committed to our community.  We see that there are organizations and opportunities where we can help raise visibility and access to things that impact our clients lives and the community.   In the past we have been lucky enough to either partner with or sponsor some great events and organizations.

Dudley's Garden

The garden is on site at Rosedale Health and Wellness and Dudley’s Place.  Each year a group of dedicated staff and volunteers get together to plant, cultivate, and harvest fresh herbs and vegetables so that they can be distributed to the clients of both organizations.  Our nutritionist, who often is the one working the garden, usually also pairs low cost and healthy recipes with the various vegetables we are handing out to help our clients use this great resource to it’s fullest potential.

Foundation for the Carolinas

CHARLOTTE LESBIAN AND GAY FUND

As a presenting sponsor of the annual Happening Luncheon each year, Rosedale helps bring to the forefront of our community the importance gay and lesbian businesses and programs in our community.  Foundation For The Carolinas serves as a catalyst for philanthropic activity in our 13-county region and is a driver for major civic efforts. We offer innovative solutions that help individuals, nonprofits and companies bring their charitable visions to life.

Theatre Charlotte

As a show sponsor, exhibitor, and presenting sponsor of the Broadway Ball, we recognize the importance of the arts in our community and their impact on people’s overall outlook. Theatre Charlotte is a volunteer-based theatre company dedicated to creating outstanding theatre opportunities that are accessible and relevant to the people of the Charlotte region.

Theatre Charlotte is committed to making theatre relevant in the lives of more people by demonstrating that theatre engages, inspires, and unites communities. Hundreds of volunteers get involved each year as actors, crew members, and ushers, while thousands participate as audience members. We encourage individuals of all age and experience to be a part of our productions and learn from our professional directors, designers, and staff.

Stonewall Sports Charlotte

Rosedale Health and Wellness is focused on all aspects of our clients’ health.  What better way to exercise, be social, and stay healthy than to join an organized sport?  Stonewall Sports Charlotte is a 501c3 LGBTQ & Ally not-for-profit sports league. We strive to develop a well-connected and diverse community through organized competition and social or fundraising events.

Our vision is that every person should have the ability to feel comfortable playing organized sports and that we have the responsibility to give back to the community.  Our mission is to provide an inclusive, low cost, high FUN sports league that is managed as a non-profit with a philanthropic heart.

Charlotte AIDS WALK

Each year it is a very important time and sobering time when we, as a community, gather to walk in the annual AIDSWALK.  Rosedale Health and Wellness and it’s affiliates have been proud supporters and exhibitors, as well as participants in the annual event.  This event is the Charlotte region's commitment to caring for our neighbors in need and slowing the spread of this devastating disease. All funds raised during this event stay in the Charlotte community and benefits the services and programs RAIN provides to young adults, adults and senior adults living with HIV and those that are at risk.

Charlotte Pride

In reaching out to our LGBTQ friends in the community Rosedale Health and Wellness and Dudley’s Place always try to have the most visual impact possible for us at this annual event and festival.  Charlotte Pride is the leader in LGBTQ visibility in Charlotte and the Carolinas. We present and collaborate on programs, projects, and activities, including the annual Charlotte Pride Festival and Parade, Charlotte Trans Pride, Charlotte Latinx Pride, Charlotte Women’s Pride, and Reel Out Charlotte, among others. Since its founding in 2000, Charlotte Pride has expanded its year-round programming and partnerships to better connect community members with its mission, vision, and values. It is now one of the largest LGBTQ Pride organizations in the American Southeast.
